THE OPPORTUNITY: 

The Business Manager is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and directing administrative resources to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency within agreed budgets and timelines for operation of the office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Direct and coordinate firm's financial planning and budget management functions. 
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the firm.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results and benchmarks
  • Manage the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements 
  • Management of network environment and desktop support
  • Working with management team to achieve the goals and objectives of the firm
  • Active participation in management meetings
  • Assist partners in development of a business plan and annually review and adjust as needed.
  • Supervise and manage all technical support relationships, including computers, Blackberries, telephones, fax machines, copiers, etc.
  • Organization of payroll and benefits; including review of benefits on an annual basis.
  • Assistance with hiring of professional team members
  • Co-ordination of orientation for new team members
  • Facilities management; co-ordination of building services, liaison with building management and security
  • Assisting with client engagement analysis and development of presentations
THE SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS: 

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and behaviours:

  • Accounting Designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Dedication and strong work effort.

  • Strong computer skills, including a proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Database Management.

• Preparation of payroll schedules, T4s, and T5s.
