THE OPPORTUNITY: 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Oversee and manage audits, reviews and compilations.
  • Review of audit, review and compilation files.
  • Review of financial statements and notes thereto.
  • Review of corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts and projections.
  • Development and maintenance of relationships with clients and team members.
  • Counsel, train and mentor team members in their career development and technical expertise
  • Work with management team to achieve the goals and objectives of the firm. 
  • Active participation in management meetings.
  • Business development.
THE SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS: 

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and behaviours:

  • CA Designation
  • 5 years+ public practice accounting experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical expertise.
  • Dedication and strong work effort.
  • Excellent client service skills, with the ability to understand the clients' businesses, with a desire to be a valued business advisor
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong client relations.
  • Demonstrated project management skills; with ability to develop and lead teams to deliver quality service on time and within budget.
  • Effective mentoring and performance management skills.
  • Dynamically leads client and internal presentations.
  • Strong computer skills, including a proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Caseware and tax preparation programs would be beneficial.
