Tom
specializes in personal, corporate and estate taxation with a focus
on owner-managed enterprises, high net-worth individuals and professionals.
Tom's focus on taxation issues allows him to deal with complicated
business transactions like buying and selling a business or succession
planning.
Tom's
aim is to work with his clients as a business partner. He explains
complex tax issues in a way that clients understand allowing his
clients to make informed decisions.
Tom
is a regular seminar presenter on many tax topics. He writes articles
for local newspapers and provides commentary on federal and provincial
budgets.
Tom
holds a Bachelor of Math (Honours Co-operative program) from the
University of Waterloo and became a Chartered Accountant in 1987.
He is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and completed the
Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course.
Tom
is active in his community and volunteers his time to several local
community organizations including the Bowmanville Rotary club.
Tom
is married and has three children. He enjoys camping, playing golf,
hockey and coaching sports teams.
