Our Team - J. Dale Newman

Dale has over 20 years experience assisting owner-managed businesses with their accounting and financial challenges. He takes time to learn about the operations of his clients and develop strong business relationships.

Dale has been in public accounting since 1981, joining the firm in 1989 as a senior accountant and becoming a manager in 2000.

At Hobb & Company, Dale assists clients with their general accounting and tax issues. He has developed extensive experience in helping clients to improve their business processes, with particular focus on their accounting systems. As a result, Dale is able to help clients to resolve many of their accounting software issues. He has also developed a special expertise in agri-business and is the farm funding program contact at Hobb & Company.

Dale is a firm believer in teamwork. As manager, he coaches and mentors team members in client service and technical areas, and supports their development plans. He oversees team scheduling to ensure clients receive the best service possible.

Dale is a member of Port Perry Baptist Church where he serves on the Board of Elders. He oversees the small group ministry and facilitates a bible study group.

Dale is married and has two children. In his free time he enjoys playing hockey, golf and working on home renovations.
