Our Team - Christopher H. Pierce, CA

Chris joined Hobb & Company in 2000 as a Tax Manager. He has a broad background in taxation matters. Because of his breadth of experience and education, Chris can provide virtually any tax solution to any client. This includes how to sell a company in the most tax efficient manner, company reorganizations, resolving estate and trust tax issues, as well as saving tax and achieving greater wealth for corporate and individual clients. Each tax scenario is different, giving Chris both variety and challenges. He is enthusiastic about providing tax solutions to his clients.

His experience includes working with small to medium sized clients in the Durham Region and for the Ministry of Finance, Corporations Tax Branch, doing audits of small corporations. He was also a Tax Specialist at Grant Thornton.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, with a major in Economics. He became a Chartered Accountant in 1998. Chris is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Chris is married and has two daughters. His work at Hobb & Company has given him flexibility and a better balance of work and family. He enjoys hockey, golf and fishing.
